Outer Frequencies: Brazil
A playlist of Brazilian classics, deep cuts and new overlooked gems
Last week I shared a list of my favorite contemporary Brazilian albums. This playlist picks up where that article left off.
Rather than focusing only on newer artists, I wanted to widen the lens a bit and put together a mix that bounces between different generations of Brazilian music. There are some classics that helped shape the country’s incredible musical legacy, alongside newer artists who are taking those traditions somewhere fresh. MPB, samba, jazz, soul, psych, funk... it all flows together surprisingly naturally.
Some personal highlights include the beautiful “Ciranda” by Nyron Higor, one of my favorite songs from Sessa’s latest album, a classic from Dom Salvador & Abolição, and a gorgeous Blundetto remix of João Selva that feels like it was made for late summer afternoons.
Hope you enjoy it.

Outer Frequencies: Brazil is available on Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal, and YouTube.
The Playlist Library is where you’ll always find the latest streaming links for every Outer Frequencies playlist.
And a quick thank you to everyone using Spotify for your patience over the past few months. Some of you reached out because some of the private Spotify links had expired before you got around to listening. Moving everything into the Playlist Library should make that a thing of the past, since I’ll be able to keep those links updated in one place.
As always, these playlists are for paid subscribers only, so if you make a copy for your own library, I’d really appreciate you keeping it set to private. Keeping the playlists exclusive is what makes this whole project possible, so thanks for helping me keep it that way.

First… thank you! Love your content. Second… Help! I’m a Luddite and can’t find your playlist on Apple Music. I entered it into the search bubble… but no luck. Any helpful hints?
I can't find it on Spotify or YouTube either. I guess you have to be a paid subscriber? I'm unemployed, so that's me out.
