Endless Summer II
A solstice playlist for late summer nights
Earlier this month, I shared a list of albums that sound like summer. While putting it together, I kept thinking about all the records that didn’t quite fit into a list of full albums but still capture the summer feeling.
So I made a playlist and it felt only right to drop it today, on the summer solstice.
This month’s Spotlight playlist is a sequel to Endless Summer, a playlist I put together a few years ago that ended up soundtracking more than a few barbecues, road trips, hang sessions, and evenings spent lingering outside long after sunset.
Like the original, Endless Summer II isn’t tied to any one genre or era. It’s just a collection of songs that feel right this time of year. Expect warm weather boogie, breezy Brazilian grooves, lovers rock, cosmic disco, psychedelic funk, and a handful of tracks that sound great with a cold drink and some sunshine.
Whether you’re floating down a river, firing up the grill, heading to the beach, or settling into one of those perfect summer evenings where nobody seems to be in a hurry to leave, I hope there’s something in here that hits the spot.
A quick note about access: this playlist is available exclusively to paid subscribers, so please keep the private links within the community. If you’ve got a friend who’d enjoy it, the best way to share it is by inviting them to subscribe or gifting them a subscription. Keeping these playlists exclusive is what allows me to keep making them.
The playlist is available on Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal, and YouTube using the links below. If any of the links give you trouble, just send me an email at info@outerfrequencies.net and I’ll help get it sorted.
Thanks for listening. Hope you enjoy it.
